The Events

Staszic is not only a school but also a community of current and former students and teachers. Each year, this community of science and learning organizes elegant balls on numerous special occasions.

One of them is the classic Polish studniówka (named after being held approximately one hundred days before the matura exams). It is very similar to other balls of this kind and like them, it starts with an elegant polonaise. There is also another polonaise afterwards, where the students dance together with their teachers. Later during the ball they dance a much more relaxed, yet way more exhausting Chapelloise.

There is also a ball unique only to the School - the Staszic Ball. It is held every year and, unlike the studniówka all students and teachers are invited. It is a celebration of the School's anniversary and because of that, a giant cake is served during the Ball. Much like the studniówka it starts with a polonaise and similarly there is a DJ, a small dessert and a king and queen of the ball are chosen after a dance contest. However, the participants of the ball are dressed in period costumes resembling those from the times of the School's patron - Stanisław Staszic.
